Family Register

Foreign residents are also required to register any birth or death in their family that occurs in Japan. To register a marriage or divorce, please ask for more information. In Edogawa City, these notices are submitted to the Resident Section of the City Office or any branch office.

Death Notification	1. Relatives 2. Other person living in the same household 3. Landlord, land owner or manager of the building/property (in this order of priority)	Municipal office of the person submitting the notification, or municipal office of the area where the death took place	Within seven days of learning that the death occurred	• Notification form • Required Attachments: Death Certificate or Autopsy Report
